The Knowne Worlde (everywhere there are members of the Society for Creative Anachronism) is divided into seventeen Kingdoms and a number of Principalities. These major regions are further divided into Baronies, Shires, Cantons and Colleges.
The Shire of Loch Ruadh (lok roo) is a part of the Central Region of the Kingdom of Ansteorra (ONS-tay-oh-ra), which is comprised of all of Texas and Oklahoma (except for that small part of Texas, which is in the Mountain Time zone).

Regularly scheduled meetings and gatherings in Loch Ruadh include our Populace Meeting (a business meeting), Officers Meeting, Fighter Practice, Bardic (singing, poetry, tales and music), and Scribes and Illuminators (creating and painting scrolls that are given with awards). Other gatherings include garb workshops (making Middle Ages-style clothing), woodworking and metalworking workshops, armor workshops, archery practice, brewing and vintning, soap making, cooking, and much more.
